The Sweet Boutique

Patisserie and Cake Design

I grew up in the small town of Union, S.C., cooking and baking under the tutiladge of three great southern women:  my Mother, my Grandmother, and my, Aunt Mealer Mae Ford.  They taught me the old-fashioned southern art of cooking, baking, and good ol' southern hospitality.  In 1996 I moved to Europe where I experienced fabulous, not-too-sweet and lighter-than-air pastries on a whole new level.  I decided to combine the two experiences and give to the public, a glimpse into one of Europe's greatest treasures and a taste of living southern.   I completed training at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan, NY, and spent hours in the kitchen developing and perfecting recipes.  And now, after 20 years of baking, I am pleased to present my products to you.  I am certain that you will be proud to serve them as your own.

Why Sweet Greetings?  Sweet Greetings began when my husband, a United States Soldier, was deployed as part of the Global War on Terror.  This was his fourth deployment in three years.   I was determined not to spend the upcoming Valentine's Day in the dumps.  So I thought of a way to bring soldiers like my husband closer to their spouses at home.  That Valentine's Day I baked cakes and deliverd them on behalf of deployed soldiers in the area.  The venture was a hit!  It made Valentine's Day much brighter for me and for others as well.  Sweet Greetings was born!

Our Mission:  Supply sweet-toothed friends all over the world with beautiful and remarkably delicious gourmet treats. My guiding principles revolve around providing the customer with the most delightful and distinctly southern experience in taste imaginable.  To this end we adhere to the following:

1.  Philosophy. We craft each gourmet treat with the philosophy that every product must be as wonderful to eat as they are to behold.

2.  Ingredients.   Always use the highest quality ingredients available - the finest imported chocolate, homemade fruit fillings, natural extracts, and 100% butter.  We never sacrifice quality for cost.

3.  Flavor.  Always bake from scratch.  To ensure the distinctively southern flavor that makes our cakes so good, our cakes are always made from scratch and in small batches, and undergo the most stringent standards of quality control.

4.  Service.  Love to bake, Love to eat, Be timely, Be courteous, and Enjoy my customers.   This is our service motto.

We Bake Life a Whole Lot Sweeter!
